Torus of Molecular Gas Around the Ultra - Compact H ii Region G 28 . 20 - 0 . 05

چکیده
We present new observations of the ultra-compact Hii region G28. To explain the complicated kinematics of the molecular gas, we propose a model consisting of two components. One component is an infalling, equatorial torus of molecular gas, whose dense central region has been ionized to form the ultra-compact Hii region. The second component is a larger expanding molecular shell driven by some type of wide-angle outflow or wind. We estimate that the infall component includes more than 18 M ⊙ of molecular gas. We calculate the central mass to be 79 M ⊙ , probably comprising more than one star. The arrangement of the molecular material suggests a connection to the other disk-like structures seen around massive young stars. The central star in this case is more massive, and the whole region may be more evolved than other similar objects such as IRAS

The nature of ultracompact H ii regions (UCHRs) remains poorly determined. In particular, they are about an order of magnitude more common than would be expected if they formed around young massive stars and lasted for one dynamical time, around 10 yr. We here perform three-dimensional numerical simulations of the expansion of an H ii region into self-gravitating, radiatively cooled gas, both w...

Context. The field just West of the galactic supernova remnant W28 (l=6.4 o , b=-0.2 o) harbors 3 of 5 newly-discovered 1720 OH maser spots and two recently-discovered candidate supernova candidates (one of which is a γ-ray source), as well as several compact and classical HII regions. Aims. To show the interaction of radio supernova remnants with ambient molecular gas in sky field just West of...
متن کاملA Compact Ultra-Wideband Bandpass Filter with Sharp-Rejection using Complementary Split Ring Resonators
A compact and sharp-rejection ultra-wideband (UWB) microstrip band-pass filter (BPF) is developed using of left handed metamaterials realized by complementary split ring resonator (CSRR). Moreover, proposed structure consists of two doublets parallel coupling gaps at each side of a microstrip ring. In comparison with some other filters, this structure shows a significantly wider passband due to...
متن کاملThe Molecular Properties of Galactic H Ii Regions
We derive the molecular properties for a sample of 301 Galactic H ii regions including 123 ultra compact (UC), 105 compact, and 73 diffuse nebulae. We analyze all sources within the BU-FCRAO Galactic Ring Survey (GRS) of CO emission known to be H ii regions based upon the presence of radio continuum and cm-wavelength radio recombination line emission. Unlike all previous large area coverage CO ...

We use cosmological simulations of reionization to predict the effect of large H II regions around individual high-redshift quasars on the possible signal from the redshifted 21 cm line of neutral hydrogen in the pre-reionization era. We show that these H II regions appear as “spectral dips” in frequency space with equivalent widths in excess of 3mK MHz or depths in excess of about 1.5mK, and t...
